Thanks for your patience

And your persistent call

It took me so long

To make sense of it all

I didn’t read the bible

I didn’t pray

I didn’t go to church

But you wouldn’t go away

You see things in us

That we try to hide

You see our potential

And you are our guide

We are all sinners 

Still making mistakes

But you are quick to forgive

For all of our sakes

We may never be Pope

And the Lord would agree

But he only wants

The best version of me

For the Lord knows us

Inside and out

And it’s perfectly normal

To have some doubt

If something on your mind

You just have to pray

The Lord will listen

Any time of the day

For the Lord is the good shepherd

Tending his flock each day

Quick to go looking 

For any gone astray

For the holy person

Or the most flawed

All things are possible

When trusting in God

So reach out to him

Every day that you live

And experience the peace

That only he can give
